Quick Tip: On the Web – Make Responding Easy
When writing Web-based sales copy, the best place to put your "Click Here to Buy" button (the spot where you indicate where you want the Web designer to put the link to your client's order page) is not necessarily at the end of the copy, though that may be your first impulse.
Yes, you'll have a "Click Here to Buy" response button at the end of the copy, but you'll also have response buttons sprinkled throughout your copy.
Consider putting the first response button shortly after you've introduced the product. Of course, if you're selling benefits (and following the Secret of Transparency), this might not be for half or even more of your letter. That's okay.
Then add response buttons to the rest of the copy – not so often that they're distracting, but often enough to make it easy for your prospect to buy.
